<---back

Vash (nicknamed "Vash the Stampede") is a traveling gunman with a large bounty on his head and an unmatched success rate of destroying or bringing trouble to every town he visits. To control these unnatural disasters, an insurance company sends two young women (Meryl and Millie) to find Vash and moniter him. Not only is he not what the rumors implied, but they find themselves tossed into a whirlwind of unwanted adventures as well.

Here's how I think the Trigun circles work; 80% Vash/Wolfwood, 15% general, 4% Wolfwood/Millie, and 1% Vash/Meryl. Seriously. This is extremely aggravating for someone who wants Vash/Meryl stuff. They're practically canon, yet so many of these toss that aside like it's a poisonous pit of doom. Can anyone explain this to me? *cough* But enough of my complaining.

TITLE: Equals ZERO

GENRE: Romance, Vash x Meryl, Wolfwood x Millie

CIRCLE: Hinekuri

SUMMARY: Two short stories between our two favorite couples of the show.

THOUGHTS: So sweet you might have to brush your teeth! Meryl comes home with groceries and ends up having a conversation about Millie with Vash (no doubt involving Wolfwood). Lots of blushing and a cute little kiss. "Act 2" has Millie in her PJs and Wolfwood with something he's always got handy - alcohol - nothing dirty happens, to note, and they fall asleep next to each other.

TITLE: Lonesome Cowboy

GENRE: Romance, Vash x Meryl

CIRCLE: Tales of Knights

SUMMARY: Very short and small doujinshi, featuring Vash watching Meryl putting on makeup, and Vash offering his hand to help Meryl down from a small cliff.

THOUGHTS: What dissappoints me is how terribly SHORT this is (about 20 pages). Still, I like the art style, even if they did make Meryl out to be a little manly looking (seriously, if I didn't see her chest, I'd have thought her a boy). I think the front and back cover are the most charming of this work, and if nothing else makes the purchase worth it alone.

TITLE: Love Power

GENRE: Romance, Vash x Meryl

CIRCLE: Crazy Donuts

SUMMARY: Basically features scenes from the series with comedic "what ifs" added in.

THOUGHTS: It's got cute artwork, but there's nothing overly spectacular about this one. The only real "highlight" is Vash spontaniously kissing Meryl and Meryl accidentally mailing a picture of herself and Vash to a friend. If you're looking for filler fluff to pump up your collection, I guess you could give it a shot.
